Bedroom RugS
Finding the right style rug for your bedroom is key because it can completely transform the look and feel of the space. The right rug adds warmth, texture, and comfort, making your bedroom feel cozy and inviting. It also ties together the room's design elements, from furniture to color schemes, ensuring everything flows harmoniously. Plus, the right rug can set the tone for relaxation, helping create a serene atmosphere for unwinding. In short, the perfect rug elevates both the style and functionality of your bedroom.
BEDROOM RUG TIPS:
Make sure the rug is large enough to fit under your bed, extending at least 2-3 feet on each side. This creates a cozy look and ensures soft landings when you get out of bed.
The average size rug for a Queen bed is 8βx10β
The average size for a King Bed is 9βx12β
Alternatively, you can opt for two runners on either side of the bed.
Go for soft, plush materials like wool, cotton, or shag to create a warm, comfortable feel underfoot.
Use your rug to add personality to your space.
Opt for calming, neutral tones to maintain a relaxing vibe, or add a pop of color or pattern for interest.

Dining Room RUGS
You might be hesitant to use a rug in your dining room, and we totally get it! This is an area prone to spills, stains and lots of wear, especially with kiddos. However, choosing the right rug can actually enhance the space and be surprisingly practical. With the right care and rug choice, itβs a stylish upgrade thatβs worth the investment!
DINING ROOM RUG TIPS:
The rug should be large enough to fit under the table and chairs, even when the chairs are pulled out. Look for a rug thatβs about 24β-36β beyond the edges of your dining table.
For example, if your table is 6 feet long, a rug that's at least 9 feet long (and wide enough) would work well.
Opt for durable, easy-to-clean materials like wool or synthetic fibers to handle spills
Patterned rugs can help hide any stains
Low-pile options will prevent chairs from catching or wobbling.
Consider using an indoor/outdoor rug

Living Room rUGS
When it comes to furnishing a living room, we always emphasize the importance of a rug in defining the feel of the space. A rug anchors the room, adds warmth, texture, and comfort, while visually tying together furniture and dΓ©cor. We recommend choosing a rug thatβs large enough to accommodate all major furniture pieces, ideally with the front legs of sofas and chairs resting on the rug to create a cohesive look.
LIVING ROOM RUG TIPS:
Ensure that the rug is at least 8β wider than the sofa on both sides
Typically, youβll run the rug the length of the sofa
The rug size will depend on the dimensions of the room, but most living rooms will need at least an 8β x 10β rug
Natural fibers like wool or cotton work wonderfully for durability and softness, while a neutral or patterned rug can either complement the roomβs color palette or become a statement piece.
Match the rug shape to the room's layout. For example, use a rectangular rug in long, narrow spaces and a round rug in square or circular seating arrangements.

RUNNERS FOR THE WIN!
Runners are long and narrow rugs that are perfect for adding style, warmth and protection in hallways, entryways, or kitchens. We also love the idea of using a runner in a bathroom in front of a double vanity instead of two bathmats!
RUNNER SELECTION TIPS:
High-traffic areas like hallways need a durable rug material that can withstand wear and tear. Look for materials like wool, jute, or synthetic fibers that are tough and easy to clean.
Runners in high-traffic areas need to stay in place. Opt for a rug with non-slip backing or use a rug pad to prevent slipping and protect your floors.
If you're placing a runner in a kitchen or bathroom, consider materials that resist moisture and are easy to clean, like cotton or a synthetic blend. For cozy spaces like a bedroom, softer materials add warmth and comfort.
Consider the rug pile height. Low-pile runners work best in high-traffic areas to avoid tripping hazards, while a higher pile adds softness and luxury to quieter areas.
