3 Must-Try Bathroom Design Trends

Our design experts share their professional advice on four captivating bathroom trends that you absolutely must consider for your next project.

1. Stacked Tile

It doesn’t get much more classic than subway tile, but instead of the traditional brick lay, put a modern spin by stacking the tiles, either vertically or horizontally. You can also opt for a hand molded look, instead of a completely perfect rectangle, like we did in projects Out of the Blue, California Cool & So Fresh and So Clean, to bring an artisan flair to your design. For an ultra modern aesthetic, try a super skinny tile like we did in Bonjour Blue.

While the stacked tile look is currently trending, it’s also going to look amazing for years to come. Our clients are loving this simple, clean and elevated look and chances are, you will too!

2. Comforting Curves

Introducing rounded shapes, like arched vanity mirrors, brings a softness and beautiful juxtaposition against often linear vanities.

Arches also provide an air of sophisticated antiquity that we absolutely love, while remaining versatile enough to pair with a variety of design styles. From Japandi, to Coastal to Spanish Modern, an arched vanity mirror just works!

Install tip: Mount your vanity mirror 5” to 10” inches above the highest part of the faucet. Also need tips on hanging vanity lighting? We’ve got you.

3. Wall-Mounted Faucets

Washing your hands never looked so good! This is such a fun option when it comes to faucets. It’s far from traditional and brings a modern, luxurious look. Wall-mounted faucets provide extra countertop space and are a great choice especially if you’re working with a smaller vanity in a tight bathroom or powder room. Even if you don’t need the extra space, you’ll enjoy the elevated vibe that this feature will bring to your space!
