Get the Look - Luxe Canyon Living

Nestled in a beautiful neighborhood with rolling hills and gorgeous canyon views, this home already felt like a retreat, so we took that and ran with it - embracing those comforting vibes and working to create an interior that matched its surroundings. Neutral color palettes paired with rich materials made every space feel both approachable and luxurious. Check out the details below to get design tips and inspiration for your own home!

a spa-like primary bathroom

More than ever, people are investing in their physical and mental health which means we're seeing an increased desire to create in-home, spa-like retreats to escape the day-to-day stresses of life.

Design tips:

  • If you want a luxurious look but don’t want to splurge, opt for a pre-fabricated vanity like we did in this space. You can find great options at Signature Hardware

  • To create a zen vibe, we chose a tone-on-tone color palette which only works if there’s a healthy mix of patterns and textures to prevent the space from falling flat. We created a beautiful blend of different tiles in the same color palette to help us achieve this look. You can find some of our favorite tiles at Bedrosians

  • The contrast of sleek black faucets, mirrors and light fixtures paired against the otherwise light and airy color palette gave the space a sophisticated feel. Shop Kohler for some of our favorite faucets!

a beautiful banquette

If the kitchen is the heart of the home, then a banquette is the heart of a kitchen. There’s something just so cozy, comfortable and inviting about them (plus they offer great storage) so in addition to new paint, flooring and windows, we changed the wall to a 90 degree angle to allow for an L shaped banquette design.

Design tips:

  • To continue the tonal color palette through the home, we chose a neutral blend of throw pillows that all have their own, unique pattern. You can snag this same look from DV Kap

  • We know that deciding on a paint color can be overwhelming so we love to recommend using Sherwin Williams peel and stick paint samples so that our clients can envision their options in their spaces before committing.

a cozy and comforting GUEST Room

The calming, neutral trend continues into the guest room where you’ll find a beautiful blend of natural materials like linen, cotton and chunky knits. The before photo shows that our clients liked the look of a feature headboard wall so we embraced that with an upscale twist and installed this beautiful wall paneling that instantly elevates the space.

Design tips:

  • Greenery is one of the best accessories, especially for a bedroom. Even if you go faux, the presence of green will add a calming touch to your space. You can grab a great faux at Target

  • Wall paneling is an easy and fairly affordable way to transform a room - plus it’s timeless and classy. You can get some great layout ideas here

an accessible bathroom

Our clients needed an ADA bathroom so we kept the same grey color palette as the primary bathroom to create a cohesive look throughout the home. This sleek, modern look features a beautiful balance of warm and cool tones and also gives us luxurious spa vibes that our clients were looking for.

Design Tips:

  • Try swapping our your store bought shampoo & conditioner bottles for these sleek, white pumps instead. They gives us total hotel resort vibes and they’re super affordable!

  • This little bamboo table is water proof and great for storing your shower essentials, especially if there’s minimal storage - bonus, it’s easy to access for anyone with ADA needs! There are some great options at Wayfair

beautiful inside and out

Can’t forget the exterior! After a significant structural change, new paint, windows, front door and landscaping, this entry now emulates the SoCal modern, desert vibe that our clients were going for. Exterior changes can be a lot to tackle so if you’re just wanting a little entry refresh, check out these easy upgrades.

Design Tips:

  • These sleek, black resin planters are affordable, lightweight and allow you to effortlessly add a pop of green to your front entry.

  • When’s the last time you refreshed your doormat? Make guests smile before they even enter your home with this sweet & stylish doormat
